Key appropriators who oversee the Pentagon’s finances urged the Biden administration on Tuesday to take extra “decisive” motion to handle threats just like the Chinese language surveillance balloon that traversed the nation earlier this month.
In a bipartisan letter to the White Home obtained by CQ Roll Name, Senate Protection Appropriations Chairman Jon Tester, D-Mont., and rating member Susan Collins, R-Maine, mentioned the U.S. must ramp up its capabilities to fight related incursions.
“We stay deeply involved by these violations of United States sovereignty, and it’s clear extra must be achieved to handle these conditions,” Tester and Collins wrote.
